1. Introduction & Contract Agreement
Welcome to Udawalawe Wild Safari. By accessing our website or booking a jeep safari tour through our portal, WhatsApp service, or email, you enter into a legally binding agreement governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not proceed with your booking.
2. Safari Bookings & Payment Terms
- Pricing Currency: All prices listed on our website are in United States Dollars (USD) unless specified otherwise.
- Payment Options: We accept online booking prepayments, major international credit/debit cards, and USD/LKR Cash on Arrival directly to your allocated safari chauffeur.
- Inclusions: Package rates include private 4x4 modified safari jeep rental, experienced English-speaking chauffeur driver, fuel, hotel pickup/drop-off within Udawalawe area, and complimentary bottled water.
- Exclusions: National Park entrance tickets issued by the Department of Wildlife Conservation (DWC) are purchased separately at the park entrance gate unless explicitly specified in your all-inclusive package.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
You may cancel your safari reservation up to 24 hours before your scheduled safari date for a 100% full refund with zero cancellation fees.
- Cancellations requested less than 24 hours before safari start time may be subject to a 50% late cancellation fee.
- No-shows at hotel pickup without prior notice will forfeit the booking deposit.
- In the rare event of extreme weather or park closure by government authorities, a 100% full refund or free rescheduling will be provided immediately.
4. Park Entry Regulations & Wildlife Protection
All guests must comply with the Sri Lanka Fauna and Flora Protection Ordinance and Department of Wildlife Conservation (DWC) park rules:
- Do not disembark from the 4x4 safari vehicle inside the national park except at designated rest areas.
- Feeding, luring, or teasing wild elephants, leopards, or birds is strictly prohibited by law.
- Strictly zero littering inside the national park boundaries. Plastic bottles and wrappers must remain inside vehicle disposal bins.
- Maintain quiet behavior during wildlife sightings to avoid frightening animals.
5. Limitation of Liability
While our chauffeurs adhere to the highest safety and driving standards, wildlife safaris carry inherent natural elements. Udawalawe Wild Safari is not liable for personal property loss, personal injury resulting from guest non-compliance with driver instructions, or unforeseen acts of nature.
